Love Vs. War
Once
Upon a time a great creative person travelled to London to fulfill
her Dream. And she got it.
This
is the story about a designer who was a brave warrior in the Fashion
Kingdom her whole life, always defending her great and strong values
both in her life and her work, as you can tell just by looking at her
brand.
I
think all this values were present stronger than ever in this
collection where the designer wants to transmit one clear idea that I
got from the official page : “we need love to survive”. And it
reminded me right away of this quote by Lennon: “We live in a world
where we have to hide to make love, while violence is practiced in
broad daylight.”
Despite
this premise, thanks to Ingrid, Love comes back to stand in public on
her Runway and introduce #TIW “This Is War”. A statement that
summmarizes its concept.
Ingrid's
proposal is very interesting. She shows us a strong woman ready to
fight to realize her dreams in this crazy and unfair world but, with
Love as her main weapon.
It's
amazing to see the stretch designes of LBD, skirts, tops and shorts
and leather-trousers; becoming rebels and gorgeous, and supplemented
with her jewerly designs. The power of Love was seen in the London
Fashion Week Show at Fashion Finest on February the 22nd thanks to
Deborah St. Louis and her team. Giving everyone the chance to get to
know this great artist who is one of my favorites. As you can see the
whole concept of War changes on this Runway.
